JEEM accepts the submission of manuscripts that have been previously shared on recognized preprint servers, provided that the authors disclose the preprint’s Digital Object Identifier (DOI) in the cover letter or on the title page at the time of submission. To maintain the integrity of the evaluation process, authors must refrain from posting updated versions of the manuscript to any preprint server while it is undergoing formal peer review. Upon acceptance, authors are responsible for updating the preprint record with a link and the official DOI of the final published article in JEEM. Furthermore, for all future references, authors and researchers are strongly encouraged to cite the final, peer-reviewed version published in JEEM rather than the preliminary preprint.
