Aims and scope

The Journal of Electrical and Electronic Materials (JEEM) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research concerning the fundamental properties, synthesis, and applications of materials in the electrical and electronic sectors. The journal aims to provide a vital academic platform where innovative material science meets practical engineering solutions, fostering the growth of the global "Materials, Components, and Equipment" industries.

The scope of JEEM encompasses all aspects of materials science and engineering related to electricity and electronics, including but not limited to:

  • • Semiconductor Materials and Devices: Silicon-based materials, compound semiconductors (GaN, SiC), wide-bandgap materials, and advanced fabrication/lithography processes.
  • • Electronic Packaging and Reliability: Interconnect materials, thermal management solutions, and reliability testing for extreme environments.
  • • Display and Organic Electronics: OLED/LED materials, flexible and stretchable electronics, and thin-film transistors (TFTs).
  • • Energy and Environmental Materials: Secondary batteries (Li-ion, solid-state), fuel cells, solar cells, and energy harvesting materials (piezoelectric/thermoelectric).
  • • Dielectrics and Insulating Materials: High-voltage insulation, polymer dielectrics, and ceramic materials for power systems.
  • • Nano-materials and Sensors: Carbon-based materials (graphene, CNTs), quantum dots, and high-sensitivity chemical/biological sensors.
  • • Thin Films and Surface Science: Deposition techniques (ALD, CVD, Sputtering) and surface modification for functional enhancements.

JEEM welcomes original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and short communications. By accepting submissions in both Korean and English, the journal ensures that localized technical excellence is shared alongside global innovations, maintaining its role as a premier archive for the next generation of materials scientists and engineers.
