Development of Smart Kiosk for Controlling and Monitoring

In this paper, through the development of a smart panel (LCD kiosk) controller, contents to develop a system that can be operate in a desired environment by operating the window control and ventilation facilities according to the automatic controller operation based on the set values such as temperature, humidity, sunlight, and rainfall. In particular, the MQTT protocol-based sensor module can be directly manufactured and applied at any time based on various communication and power sources such as wireless, wired, and PLC (power line communication) to obtain the desired data, as well as fire, power failure, and intrusion in the house. It is also a system that enables operation and monitoring from a remote location based on the cloud environment by connecting sensors. Kiosks are currently being used in many places, and the demand for them is on the rise, and an active influx of young people can be expected through environmental improvement. It is expected to increase interest and understanding for improvement.

Design and Fabrication of a Digital Protection Relay for Reverse-Open Phase

Induction motors connected with a three-phase AC system may malfunction due to reverse phase or open phase faults. Conventional overcurrent relays and overheating relays are used to prevent such accidents; however, their drawbacks include a low response speed and false operation. Therefore, in this study, a digital relay for the reverse-open phase was designed and fabricated. This relay can detect the reverse phase and open phase faults and send a trigger signal to the control circuit. The proposed relay was developed based on a microcontroller. The detection times of the reverse phase and open phase were verified as 320ms and 80ms, respectively. Compared with conventional relays that only protect the motor from one type of fault, the proposed relay can detect both, reverse phase and open phase faults. In addition, the fault detection, identification criterion, and trigger signal patterns can be modified by programming according to the requirements of users.

Development of Multiple Wireless Communication Controller for Smart Factory Construction

Due to recent industry 4.0, manufacturing has changed a lot. In particular, it is necessary to control the controller and controller of the control system, to communicate various production information and measurement information, and to produce a database in accordance with the flexible production for a small quantity of various items, and to manage the trend of major parts of production facilities. In this paper, we developed a multiple wireless communication controller for small scale control system for smart factory by applying XBee and microcomputer. This controller is cheap and easy to build multi-radio communication environment of 1: N and can control and monitor control system. In addition, we tested multiple wireless communication controllers by using signal processing device and C++, and constructed network, control, and database for mechanism module, and confirmed effectiveness for industrial application.

Regular Paper : Improve the Efficiency of Hybrid Solar LED Street Lamp Controller

We develop the 60 W class hybrid solar LED street lamp controller. The controller is providing power via an inverter in the day with the least solar cell and battery and charging the battery for the ESS, acts as a power failure, the built-in battery. Rated output of the fabricated LED street lamp is 300 W or greater battery capacity 300 Wh, discharge time 10 hr, LED street lamp efficiency showed a very high level of light efficiency by about 127 lm/W. In addition, as a result of light distribution pattern according to the distance and the light intensity measurement will be able to ensure a very high quality, show the constant brightness in the distance from the road lights 6 m is about 35~40 lux in uniformity ratio. The proposed hybrid solar LED street lamp system showed a high energy capacity of approximately 1.5 to 152.7% power generation efficiency than typical conventional solar street lamp.
