Insulation Breakdown Frequency Properties of PAI Enamelled Rectangular Coils According to Thermal Deterioration Temperature Variation
Jae-jun Park
J Electr Electron Mater 2016;29(12):829-834.   Published online December 1, 2016
Coil specimens were prepared by continuous coating on a copper wire with flexible PAI (polyamideimide) and PAI/nanosilica (5 wt%) varnish and thermally aged at 150, 200 and 250℃ for 5, 10 and 15 days, respectively. AC insulation breakdown voltage was investigated under inverter surge condition at 60 Hz and 1,000 Hz and insulation breakdown voltage decreased with increasing aging temperature and aging time at each 60 and 1,000 Hz.

Technology Education : Regular Paper ; Development and Evaluation of LED Lamp with Rectangular Light Distribution for Growth of Plant
Jung Hyun Yun
J Electr Electron Mater 2014;27(2):126-131.   Published online February 1, 2014
In this paper, plant crops used in the region to grow crops for the LED lighting area of a rectangle to fit the light distribution to maximize the efficiency of a rectangular distribution was made of LED lights. After the fabrication of LED lamps, light distribution, and in the area of 1.2 m × 3 m was the analysis of Illuminance chart. As a result of examining the performance light distribution for total Emin/Eav is 56%, and the target area of the light distribution compared to normal lamps Emin/Eav is improved by about 17%. In addition, plants grown in the area to minimize the outgoing light distribution can be focused on the cultivation area, according to the distance of the plants and be able to have the best luminous efficacy is judged.

Regular Paper : Thickness and Angle Dependent Microcavity Properties in Top-Emission Organic Light-Emitting Diodes
Won Jae Lee
J Electr Electron Mater 2011;24(1):32-35.   Published online January 1, 2011
Top-emission device has a merit of high aperture ratio and narrow emission spectrum compared to that of bottom-emission one. Emission spectra of top-emission organic light-emitting diodes depending on a layer thickness and view angle were analyzed using a theory of microcavity. Device structure was manufactured to be Al (100 nm)/TPD/Alq3/LiF (0.5 nm)/Al (2 nm)/Ag (30 nm). N,N`-diphenyl-N,N`- di (m-tolyl)-benzidine (TPD) and tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminium (Alq3) were used as a hole-transport layer and emission layer, respectively. And a thickness of TPD and Alq3 layer was varied in a range of 40 nm~70 nm and 60 nm~110 nm, respectively. Angle-dependent emission spectrum out of the device was measured with a device fixed on a rotating plate. Since the top-emission device has a property of microcavity, it was observed that the emission spectrum shift to a longer wavelength region as the organic layer thickness increases, and to a shorter wavelength region as the view angle increases. Layer thickness and view-angle dependent emission spectra of the device were analyzed in terms of microcavity theory. A reflectivity of semitransparent cathode and optical path length were deduced.
